Father Brown murder mystery

Malvern Editorial 16th Sep, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A SPINE-chilling play about a murder mystery where the culprit leaves no trace is set to spook threatre-goers in Malvern.

Rumpus Theatre Company will be returning to the Hills with one of the very first stage appearances of Father Brown and The Curse of the Invisible Man.

The play is based on the classic mysteries by G K Chesterton and sees the characters begin to question whether the culprit could truly be invisible and if it is all really due to some malevolent ancient curse.

Mild-mannered Father Brown is called to the Edwardian country house of archaeologist Diana Hope and her niece Ella, where his incisive deductions peel away the many layers of this haunting case, until he finally unmasks the killer.

Father Brown will be played by John Lyons who is hugely familiar to audiences from his 17 years as DS George Toolan – David Jason’s sidekick in A Touch of Frost. John’s other TV appearances include Upstairs Downstairs, The Onedin Line, On the Buses, George and Mildred and The Sweeney.

Father Brown will be appearing at Malvern Theatres from Monday (September 21) until Wednesday (September 23). Evening shows will begin at 7.30pm and the Wednesday matinée will be at 2.30pm.

Tickets are between £18.48 and £25.20 for adults while over 60s/unwaged get £2 off and under 26s are £14.
