A WORLDWIDE successful and awarding-winning moving theatre drama will be performed in Malvern next week.

Following its Tony Award nominated run on Broadway and more than four half years in the West End and on tour, ‘Stones in His Pockets’ is back on the road once again, appearing at Malvern Theatres on Friday, November 14, starting at 7.45pm.

Stones in His Pockets tells a hilarious and moving tale of a quiet Irish community turned upside down by the arrival of a massive Hollywood movie shoot.

Universally loved by all who see it, the show is brought to life by two highly talented actors who play 15 characters between them from the cheeky lads intent on stardom to a Hollywood Goddess.

Conor Delaney who plays Jake has a broad range of theatre, film and television roles to his credit including Game of Thrones, Jack Taylor and The Tudors.

He said: “I think the show is popular with audiences because people always love a good story. In a time of instant multimedia it’s refreshing that people can come to the theatre, switch off their devices and sit back to enjoy storytelling in its purest form.

“Watching two actors play multiple characters is something that audiences particularly enjoy in Stones In His Pockets.”

Stephen Jones who takes on the role of Charlie, is an actor, writer and a director with a solid body of theatre, film and television work including the BBC’s Ripper Street.

Written by Marie Jones and with the original director, Ian McElhinney at the helm, this multi-award winning comedy will certainly be a treat for theatre goers.

Tickets cost from £19.60 and are available by visiting www.malvern-theatres.co.uk or by calling 01684 892277.
