Community hospital manager suspension claim - The Malvern Observer

Community hospital manager suspension claim

Malvern Editorial 23rd Jul, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

TEMPORARY arrangements have been made to replace the manager of Malvern Community Hospital with many believing she has been suspended.

A source who wished to remain anonymous contacted the Observer and claimed the matron – as she is also referred – had been suspended following a complaint.

In response a spokeswoman from the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust which runs the Worcester Road based hospital in Malvern Link, said the trust was unable to comment on individual cases but added: “We can confirm we have put in place some interim arrangements at Malvern Community Hospital to cover the role of matron to ensure we have effective day to day management and leadership on the site.

“The hospital continues to operate smoothly and provide a range of excellent services to local patients.”

The spokeswoman could not clarify if the matron had been suspended, what date she has been absent since or when the matter was likely to be resolved.
