Delighted at book launch

A TALENTED Malvern author is ‘delighted’ with the response he has had following his first published children’s book in more than 30 years.

John Staley told the Observer it was his grandchildren’s love for domestic pets which helped inspire him to write his new book Three Cat Tales.

The book, published by Aspect Design, tells three different tales based on the lives of three cats – Juniper the snuggling cat, Morrisand the vomiting cat and Ferdi the sleeping cat.

And so far the book has received a warm welcome from families in the Malvern area who have expressed their delight at the book to Mr Staley.

“It has gone down well so far and it has been really nice to have got nice comments from families and children,” he said.

“Liz O’Sullivan, the illustrator, has been a great help and done a brilliant job in the publication of the book. She deserves great credit.

“The comments have been extremely pleasing because it is a children’s book for parents and grandparents to read to their loved ones. It is also small enough to fit in a Christmas stocking.”

Three Cat Tales is available to buy at Malvern Book Co-operative, Alison’s Bookshop in Tewkesbury and Ledbury Books and Maps.
