Former England striker Dion Dublin to make Bransford appearance

A FORMER England international footballer is coming to a Malvern village next month to speak to the masses about his playing career.

Former Coventry City, Aston Villa and England striker Dion Dublin will make a special appearance at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford on Friday, June 10.

During the event, which will be hosted by Worcester Police Cricket Club, Dion will tell a packed crowd about his footballing, music and media career and the audience will also be entertained by comedian Bob Webb.

The 47-year-old forward has had an illustrious 23-year footballing life, starting out at Norwich City before going on to play for Cambridge United, Manchester United, Coventry City, Villa, Leicester City, Celtic before returning to Norwich to end his career.




Dublin made four appearances for England at international level and retired from football in 2008 but is now a familiar face on TV screens across the country as presenter of BBC One’s daytime show Homes Under The Hammer.

The former sharp shooter is also known for inventing ‘The Dube’ – a box shaped percussion instrument and once featured in a gig with BritPop band Ocean Colour Scene.


Tickets cost £25 and includes a one course meal of local sausages, mashed potato and season vegetables – a vegetarian option is available.
