Making it a very special day for residents

RESIDENTS at a Malvern Care Home travelled back to the 1950s to celebrate National Dignity Day.

Everyone at Howbury House Resource Centre in Pickersleigh Grove enjoyed two full themed days of activities to mark the special occasion.

Students from South Worcestershire College went along to give residents makeovers, hand massages and manicures.

As part of the celebrations everyone pinned sentiments onto a ‘dignity tree’ and watched a selection of 1950 films.

Rose Snook, therapy assistant and co-organiser of the event, said everyone had a really good time and there were lots of happy smiling faces.

She added: “Our service users and their families said they really enjoyed themselves and thanked all our staff for making it such a lovely couple of days.”
