THE FOSSILS at Malvern Cricket Club has become heart-safe thanks to a charity donation.

The Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation, from Redditch, donated life-saving machines to the club along with St Stephen’s First School, RSA Ipsley, Alvechurch Middle School and Tanworth in Arden CE Primary School.

The iPAD defibrillator’s can shock the heart back into a normal rhythm if someone goes into cardiac arrest and the charity is on a mission to get the piece of equipment installed in all schools, sports centres and public buildings.

Robert Underwood, who set up the foundation, said: “We would like to thank everyone involved that has donated to our charity to help us safeguard more schools and communities – your support has been amazing, you are all life savers.”

If anyone would like a defibrillator or help with fund-raising e-mail [email protected] or call 0779 463 7073.
