THE MALVERN Civic Society has launched a public appeal to recreate Great Malvern Railway Station’s Clock Tower.
Anybody wishing to make a donation or sponsor the group can cut out the below form, fill it in and send them a cheque.
The form should be sent to The Clock Tower Project, 2 Woodshears Drive, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 3EA.
Items that will need paying so the project can become a reality are listed below along with the cost of each unit in brackets – write the appropriate letter/s in the top field of the form.
A: Low Level Roof Slates (250 needed at £10 each),
B: Upper Level Roof Slates (60 needed at £10 each),
C: Clock Face (four needed at £1,000 each),
D: Clock Hand Hour (four needed at £150 each),
E: Clock Hand Minute (four needed at £150 each),
F: Cast Aluminium Panels (16 needed at £1,000 each),
G: Cast Aluminium Fleche (spirelet) Lowel Level (four needed at £1,250 each),
H: Cast Aluminium Fleche (spirelet) Upper Level (four needed at £1,250 each),
J: Cast Aluminium Fleche (spirelet) Decoration (four needed at £1,450 each),
K: Top finial (one needed at £4,000),
L: Clock Mechanism (four needed at £330 each),
M: Base Section Wood Work 1820mm (182 needed at £200 each),
N: Clock Section Wood work 1695mm (169 needed at £200 each),
P: Lower Roof Section Wood Work 95mm (95 needed at £200 each),
Q: Middle Roof Section Wood Work 580mm (58 needed at £200 each),
R: Top Roof Section Wood Work 4125mm (412 needed at £200 each).
S: Steel Sub-frame (100 needed at £315 each).
