MALVERN students showed their business credentials when they came out on top in a county competition.
Pupils from The Chase School were successful in their bid to get a place at the Midlands’ Young Enterprise Finals after they topped the pile in ‘The Young Enterprise Company of the Year’ award for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, hosted by Worcestershire County Council.
The group, called Venture, beat off nine other teams from the two counties last Tuesday (May 5) to make the final round.
Each of the companies produced products ranging from scented candles and medical equipment to hand made gifts.
They will now enter the Midlands final at the Britannia Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent, on Thursday, June 11.
The top company will then go forward to the National Final in London in July.
Joe Mead, managing director of Venture Leisure, said: “This has been an amazing experience and we are so proud and pleased to have been picked as winners from such tough competition.”
