TERRY Jenkins is to face Darin Young in the first round of the 2016 PDC World Darts Championship.
The Ledbury ace will lock horns with the American when the tournament, the biggest in the darts calendar, gets underway later this month.
Jenkins goes into the World Championship in good form after winning a professional tour title event in September.
The tournament, which features an increased record prize fund of £1.5 million this year, will be held across 15 days at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Jenkins, a World Championship semi-finalist four years ago, has beaten Young five times in their seven previous matches including a second round win in the World Championship in 2009.
Last year’s World Championship saw Jenkins lose in the Last 16 stage losing to then defending champion Michael van Gerwen.
