MORE professional support is available for adults and children affected by domestic abuse in Worcestershire.
It comes after £16million of funding was made available to 75 local authorities by the government.
The cash in Worcestershire will provide more specialist domestic abuse outreach workers to increase the support available.
It will also fund staff to help advise the county’s six local authorities to ensure appropriate accommodation and support is allocated to help keep people safe.
The bid was made by a partnership of local authorities, including Redditch plus West Mercia Women’s Aid, Worcester Community Trust and the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner.
