FAMILY and friends of ‘the most amazing’ man are hoping to hit the bullseye with a charity darts event in his memory.
Dean Seddon took his own life last September after a battle with depression and ahead of the first anniversary of his passing, his family and friends are taking to the oche.
‘Deans Darts Tournament’ will take place at The New Inn in Malvern on Saturday (September 18) from 2pm to raise money for the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Every week 125 people take their own life with 75 per cent of all UK suicides being male. CALM exists to change this and is leading a movement against suicide.
Speaking ahead of the event, his friend Paige Marston said: “There wasn’t a darkness in this world that couldn’t be brightened by Dean. He was the most amazing – and slightly annoying! – person to have in your life.
“He was caring and loving and was adored by so many.
“But behind it all was a man who fought with his own mind every day. The same man who would do anything for anyone but was too ashamed to reach out for help.
“A man who was too proud to cry and saw his battle as a weakness.
“He truly believed the world would be a better place without him but he could not have been more wrong.
“He has left a gaping hole in all of our hearts and we so wish he saw himself the way that we saw him,” she added.

Organisers have asked for donations to be made using full names so players can be randomly paired.
