Worcestershire County Council is Here2Help those who need it during this lockdown

THE County Council is reminding people to use its Here2Help service if they need extra support during the lockdown.

The service is primarily for people who do not have support from friends, family or neighbours for help with tasks such as shopping.

Here2Help also offers support to those who may be struggling with their mental health.

County Councillor Lucy Hodgson said: “Here2Help has proven to be a real success story of the pandemic so far.

“It’s a fantastic service available to anyone who is unable to get the help and support they need.

“It’s not just about collecting shopping, but also recognising that lockdown and self-isolation can be a difficult time mentally and physically.

“There’s also lots of self-help guidance on the website too, which is regularly being updated with guidance, hints and tips.”

Guidance for extremely vulnerable people in the county has also been updated to the website.

The ‘I need help’ form can be filled out on the home page at: www.worcestershire.gov.uk/here2help.

Once completed, a council worker will be in touch to discuss needs in more detail and talk through what support can be offered.

Alternatively residents can phone 01905 768053 between Monday and Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 4.30pm, if they don’t have access to the internet.
