Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust organises virtual wellbeing festival to support its staff

NHS staff are being invited to a virtual wellbeing festival this week to support their health and wellbeing.

Organised by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, the week-long festival is packed with short online sessions to help staff through the national lockdown, increasing demand and the busy winter months ahead.

Working alongside organisations such as Two Pennies Money Advice charity, Slimming World and Get Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire, staff have access to a range of activities that cover all aspects of health and wellbeing, from financial support, exercise tips for working from home, and help and advice to maintain positive mental wellbeing.

Sarah Dugan, Chief Executive at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust:

“It is more important than ever that staff take some time to think about themselves and to look after their health and wellbeing.

“We feel this is essential to ensure we have the individual and collective resilience needed to continue providing the best care we can to our patients through this really difficult period.

“We have short sessions running each day throughout the week to give as many staff as possible the chance to access some help and support which could benefit them, their colleagues and their friends and family at home too.”

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust runs mental health and learning disability services throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

It also runs community nursing and rehabilitation services, services for children and young people, sexual health, dental services and the community hospitals across Worcestershire.
