Political satire focuses on seat swap

Malvern Editorial 23rd Oct, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A POLITICAL satire set a year before the general election is set to hit the stage in Malvern.

The Duck House, directed by Tony and Olivier award-winning Terry Johnson, sees Labour backbencher Robert Houston attempt to save his seat in May 2009 by changing sides.

All is going well with his switch from red to blue until on the eve of his final interview with Sir Norman Cavendish, the expenses scandal breaks.

Featuring an all-star cast at Festival Theatre including Ben Miller, Nancy Carroll, Debbie Chazen, James Musgrave, Simon Shepherd and Diana Vickers, performances will start at 7.30pm from November 4 to 9 with a Saturday matinée at 2.30pm and a free post-show discussion on Thursday, November 7.
