A MAN who died after his car was involved in a crash with a lorry has been named.

Edward Sinker was driving from Tarrington towards Ledbury on Friday, November 1, at around 3.20pm. Near the junction of the A483 and A417, his VW Polo was in collision with a Scania lorry travelling in the opposite direction.

An ambulance and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle attended the scene but the 68-year old from Bosbury had not survived.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews attended a road traffic collision involving a car and lorry.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Sergeant Darren Godsall said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or saw either of the vehicles just before the incident happened.”

Anyone with any information should call Sgt Godsall or PC Paul Turner on 101, quoting reference number 406s 011113.
