Upton collision victim is named

A MAN who died in a car collision in Upton on Monday has been named as Martin John Northcott.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned today (Thursday) by the Worcestershire Coroners Service.
Mr Northcott, who lived in Upton-upon-Severn, died following a head-on road crash on Welland Road.The 34-year-old was declared dead at the scene following the incident which happened about 7.40pm.

The incident occurred when his green MG sports car collided with a blue Volkswagen Golf driven by a 21-year-old man who sustained minor injuries.

Police closed the road until the early hours of the morning whilst the investigations into the circumstances of the crash took place and for the scene to be cleared.
