AN ELDERLY woman has been left distraught after her handbag containing £600 was stolen from her while she was shopping in Waitrose in Malvern.
The 94-year-old, who was walking in the store with her handbag on the trolley, looked away at the shelves for a moment and when she looked back it had gone.
It happened between 11.45am and 12midday on Monday (June 9).
As well as the cash the bag also contained make-up and an old mobile phone, along with a library card and glasses. Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
