Former Coronation Street star Keegan to make Malvern visit

Malvern Editorial 30th Jun, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

FORMER Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan will be the special guest in Malvern this weekend when the town plays host to an action-packed Truckfest event.

Keegan, who played Tina McIntyre in the famous soap, will join other celebrities including Mark Dixon from Channel Five’s Trucks and Trailers at the town’s Three Counties Showground on Saturday and Sunday (July 5 and 6) for the annual event.

Truckfest has been running for more than 30 years across the UK and sees hundreds of trucks entered in several wacky competitions and many customised and monster trucks on display.

Keegan will appear at the showground on Saturday only weeks after millions watched as her character Tina, one of the barmaids at the famous street pub Rovers Return, was dramatically killed after being hit by a metal pipe by Rob Donovan – played by Marc Baylis.

The weekend event will see Eddie Stobart have a large presence with top drivers Ashley Maddock and Mick Leech making an appearance and signing autographs along with a wealth of trucks.

Two top Nigel Morris’ Monster Truck Bigfoot #17 will also be coming to Malvern all the way from the USA. There will also be some brilliant recovery displays and jaw dropping action from stunt bike team Broke FMX all in the main arena.

Tickets to the two-day event cost £16 for adults at the gate or £12 by booking in advance. Tickets for children aged between 5 and 15 are just £5 and family tickets including two adults and two children cost £30.

Visit www.truckfest.co.uk for more information or to buy tickets.
