ST. WULSTAN’S Local Nature Reserve in Malvern has once again been bestowed with a Green Flag award.
It is the 11th time the beauty spot in Upper Welland has received the national recognition as other sites in Worcestershire also obtained the accolade for another year.
The award is handed out by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy to acknowledge the best parks and green spaces in the country.
A green flag flying high at the entrance signifies to visitors that the site has the highest possible standards, is well-maintained and has excellent facilities.
Worcester Woods Country Park and Waseley Hills Country Park near Bromsgrove were also honoured.
County Coun Lucy Hodgson, who is responsible for localism and communities, said: “We’re lucky here in Worcestershire to have such beautiful countryside and to have the work of the team and volunteers recognised is fantastic. Having three parks amongst the best in the country is a real boost and we’re as committed as ever to continuing to hit such high standards.
“As the local county councillor for Malvern Chase I’m particularly pleased to see St. Wulstan’s Local Nature Reserve handed the Green Flag for another year.”
