Put Elgar on your wall

ADMIRERS of the infamous artwork depicting Sir Edward Elgar leaning against a bus stop can now own their own print.

Iapetus Gallery on Belle Vue Terrace has agreed a deal with artist Lee Morris who caused a stir in Malvern when he and fellow artist Tom Brown painted the image at Rose Bank Gardens earlier this year.

The work proved a popular addition to the town and Lee has since gone on to create further pieces inspired by the famous Bransford-born composer, at Worcester’s HMV store and to mark the Tour of Britain passing through.

All designs are now available at Iapetus in small and large prints as well as greetings cards.

The retailer has also secured exclusivity on another Malvern-centric piece of art the Alloy team, based in Dublin.

The graphic shows the town as a quirky 2D laser-cut map including some of its most iconic buildings.

Anna Brook, co-director at Iapetus, said: “The project has made us appreciate just how many wonderful buildings and attractions we have in Great Malvern.

“We hope the people who love this town also fall for this marvellous map.”
