NEW REPORTERS will be picking up the pen for the Malvern Observer.

Jonny Bonell is set to take over from Carl Jackson while Beth Sharp will be filling Nigel Slater’s previous role.

The pair have experience working within Bullivant Media, both having joining the company in 2013 – Jonny as a reporter for the Worcester Observer and Beth on the Bromsgrove and Droitwich Standard titles.

Editor Harriet Ernstsons said: “I’d like to wish Carl and Nigel well in the future and thank them for all their hard work helping me to establish the Observer. I’m confident new chief reporter Jonny will be able to continue the hard work Carl put into the paper and we can continue to blossom thanks to the groundwork done by the original team since we launched.

“Many of you will see Jonny out and about in Malvern in the coming weeks and months and we hope you will find the high level of service you would expect from us to continue, meanwhile myself and Beth will also be on hand to support Jonny’s work as chief reporter.”

Jonny added: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to take on this role in such an historic part of Worcestershire and will aim to continue the great work Carl has done with the paper.

“I feel now is a great time to be joining the Malvern Observer team and I will do my best to enhance the growing reputation of the title within the community.”
