A DEDICATED Malvern worker was presented with a framed certificate to mark a landmark anniversary in his job.
Ian Vigurs celebrated his 30th year as a maintenance worker at Abbey College last Wednesday (February 11) and also picked up a special cake as a memento for his hard work.
The 53-year-old, who is yet to have a day off sick, started at the Malvern Wells site in 1985 and admitted he had seen ‘many changes’ over the years but there were ‘too many to pick one out’.
A total of seven principals have been in post during Ian’s time as the keen morris dancer retains his status as the College’s longest serving full-time member of staff.
Principal Colin Spicer said: “In today’s world of chop and change it is a fantastic achievement for Ian to be here for 30 years and there is certainly more to come from him.”
