A PAIR of maths whizz-kids at a Malvern college have been rewarded for their success in a national challenge.
Zifan Wang and Trung Nguyen Tran, both of Abbey College, took part in the UK Mathematics Trust Senior Challenge and Trung claimed a silver award while Zifan scooped a gold award and best in the year award.
The challenge, which is aimed at all 16 to 19 year olds studying mathematics in the country, saw the students answer 25 multiple choice questions in an hour and a half.
Colin Spicer, principal at the college, praised the pair and said the prestigious awards were an outstanding achievement for the duo.
