THE MALVERN Observer has welcomed a new member to the team this week.
Geoff Berkeley has been named as the title’s new editor.
The 25-year-old has been the sports editor since the paper launched in October 2013 after working on other Bullivant Media titles, including the Worcester Observer, Bromsgrove Standard and Redditch Standard over the past four years.
His appointment as editor comes after chief reporter Jonny Bonell and reporter Beth Sharp joined the paper in February.
Geoff said he was confident the new-look team would continue to build on the Observer’s growing reputation as the town’s number one community newspaper.
“I am honoured and privileged to take up the role,” he said.
“We have a strong team which will be striving hard to be the first to bring the latest news, sport and entertainments through residents’ doors each week.”
