COLLECTIONS of photography, poetry and artwork by artists and community groups in the area will soon decorate the streets of Malvern.

A total of 25 display cases are to be installed along Church Walk and outside the Waitrose supermarket as part of a new scheme called The Great Malvern Exhibition Walk.

The space will allow Malvern groups and artists to showcase their work in exhibitions which will run for about four months at a time.

The drive has been developed by Great Malvern Association of Traders and Malvern Hills District Council with support of the Elmley Foundation and Pulse Great Malvern.

It was inspired by the success of a recent photographic exhibition in the same area by Beacon Camera Club.

Chris Marks, from Great Malvern Association of Traders, said: “We also hope that the exhibition walk will encourage people to explore our beautiful town centre with its great range of shops, cafes and restaurants.”
