THE LEADER of Malvern Hills District Council has pledged his support to a district care centre by donating £500 to the site.

Coun Phil Grove, councillor for Tenbury, used the money from his ward members budget to help Kyrebrook Daycare Centre, in Tenbury Wells.

The money will be used to help create a new disabled toilet for the centre’s users.

Ria Baxter, from the centre, said: “We are delighted and grateful with the generous donation, which has been put towards the new toilet facility in the centre.

“These facilities are vital as the existing single disabled toilet was insufficient for the number of clients we have.”

Coun Grove added: “Kyrebrook is a not-for-profit company and they provide vital services to the elderly, carers and families.

“All the staff and carers offer such amazing care and hard work and I am thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to support the centre with their expanding facilities.”
