New Ledbury Rotary chief celebrates

THE LEDBURY Rotary Club’s new president celebrated taking over the chain of office for the next year with a fun skittles competition.

Bernie Robertson has been a Rotarian since 2009 and he and his wife Stella and daughter Anna have lived in the area since 1989.

In the next year as president the 61-year-old said he wanted to get all his fellow Rotarians involved in more activities, recruit more members and ensure the club was fully engaging with the community whilst having lots of fun in the process.

Before he retired Bernie, who likes keeping fit, travelling and managing investments, was a partner in a large management consultancy where he specialised in computer security systems.

Bernie said: “We are always hoping to appoint new members and if anyone is interested in joining the Rotary movement, in a fun and informal environment for men and women you will be assured of a very warm welcome.”
