A SPECIAL event has been held to see what can be done to help the district’s young people become the next generation of business leaders.
More than 15 companies went to the Malvern Hills District Council’s Business Briefing hosted by Morgan Motor Company.
The main topic of discussion was how to ensure young people could access the skills, work experience and career guidance they needed to progress in the future.
A number of county-wide schemes to help young people access opportunities offered by Malvern Hills businesses were mentioned, ranging from cyber security to designing electric cars.
Speaker Dr Adrian Burden, who is the director of the Malvern Festival of Innovation, spoke about his company and how young people needed to be inspired.
He said his year’s festival, which would take place between October 6 and 11, would focus on helping people to think creatively and see how a career based on science, technology, entrepreneurship and innovation can be exciting and rewarding.
