A FUND-raising event to help a church roof renovation project raked in almost £800.
The day, which saw residents invited to sponsor a roof tile at Christ Church, was held on Saturday (September 12).
It was part of a bid to raise £223,000 to complete work to repair its roof. The Avenue Road site was awarded a £158,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund but is looking to make up the shortfall.
A Macmillan Coffee Morning will also be held in the church hall, at the back of the church, next Friday (September 25) from 10am to 12pm.
Canadian resident Valerie Nelson, who published ‘Over the Top’ which tells the story of her grandparents and their life in Malvern, will be at the event.
