AN EVENT to teach people about sustainable eating is to be held at Malvern Theatres.
A Bring Home the Harvest Day will be held at the Grange Road venue on Saturday (September 26) with the help of caterers from Centerplate as part of British Food Fortnight.
It will begin at 12.30pm with a demonstration of how to make salmon gravlax with horseradish cream at home, followed by a session on how to fillet mackerel and make crispy mackerel with infused soy dressing.
Throughout the afternoon, which will have a theme of bringing the ‘sea to the table’, visitors will also learn about sustainable eating and how to professionally plate a dish.
Attendees will be able to sample a variety of fish-based dishes as well as vegetable-based sweets such as beetroot brownies with ice cream and zucchini and lime sponge.
