THIS SPECTACULAR image taken by a Malvern snapper captured the moment when the skies turned ‘blood’ red due to a rare lunar event.
Tarquin Shaw-Young took the picture of the total lunar eclipse, known as the Blood Moon, in Malvern on Monday (September 28) morning.
This event was last observed in 1982 and happens when the Earth casts its shadow on a full Moon and eclipses it, which gives it a rust-coloured glow.
