FIFTY members from the Voice of the Malvern Hills walked to the top of Worcestershire Beacon to demonstrate their opposition against the controversial cable car project.
The group – set up on the back of Malvern for All’s proposals to build on the hills – walked from the North Quarry and Wych car park up to the beacon on Sunday (September 27).
One member said: “This is the first time in my life taking part in a demonstration but I’ve never before felt so strongly about a cause.”
Anna Silver, secretary of Voice of the Malvern Hills, who travelled to the top on her mobility scooter, added: “The claim from Malvern for All that disabled people cannot benefit from the views from the Worcestershire Beacon is frankly ludicrous.”
