A HIGHLY regarded artist known throughout the world as the ‘Young Picasso’ is to begin a global tour in Malvern this weekend.
Art lovers are being invited to Malvern Antiques and Collectors Fair on Sunday where they can see 16-year-old sensation Hamad Al Humaidhan who will fly in from his native Kuwait to showcase his talented works.
Hammad will feature in the event’s Fine Art Selling Exhibition which features the works of internationally renowned artists, giving visitors the opportunity to see and buy amazing pieces.
In 2010, at the tender age of ten, Hamad’s creativity caught worldwide attention when his first collection of six acrylic paintings sold out within minutes of going on sale. His subsequent five collections have all been sell-outs and collectors around the world have been anticipating his next collection for the past three years.
His first ever collection of oil paintings will go on sale this month, and will be on show for the general public to view at the Three Counties Showground event, where visitors will also be able to meet and greet the artist himself.
The talented tenager is promoted by Steve Turner from Turner Fine Arts, and they are both looking forward to hearing people’s views on the latest collection.
“Hamad’s style of surrealism has matured immensely over the last five years,” Steve said.
“We are very excited to know what people think – from art critics through to the general public.
“I absolutely admire the way in which Hamad approaches the canvas. He closes his eyes and pictures what he wants to paint in his mind. He then opens his eyes and transfers the image from his mind onto the canvas.
“We hope that people enjoy Hamad’s work and find it inspiring and would like to follow his journey around the world.”
Helen Martin, director at B2B Events which organise the fair added. “We are especially thrilled that Hamad has chosen the Malvern Antiques and Collectors Fair as the event to begin his global tour.
“His visit offers another dimension to our fair, giving those passionate about art access to some of the very best examples of fine art.”
As well as the Fine Art exhibition, the fair will have 150 exhibitors offering antique, collectable, retro and vintage goods.
Early entry to the fair is from 8.30am for £4 and standard entry is from 10am for £3. The fair closes at 4pm.
