New St Richard's department store taking shape

Malvern Editorial 10th Nov, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

THESE are the first pictures inside St Richard’s Hospice’s brand new department store in Malvern launching this weekend.

The charity is opening bigger premises at the former Littlewoods shop on Worcester Road to build on the success of its popular charity shop just across the road.

The newly refitted shop will offer approximately double the size for clothing items and will also incorporate furniture, household, electrical and linen items.

The shop’s doors will open to the public for the first time on Saturday (November 14) at 9.30am with a grand opening event taking place on Friday night.

St Richard’s existing shop will be converted into a specialist book shop.

Last year the hospice’s 18 shops across Worcestershire achieved a turnover of £2.3 million by selling good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture donated by generous customers.

The charity provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with life-threatening illnesses and supports their families. Each year the hospice team supports over 2,600 patients and family members in Worcestershire with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

The new shop will run collections for donated furniture on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

For more information about collections visit www.strichards.org.uk or call 01684 568999.
