THOUSANDS of pounds worth of items including distinct jewellery were stolen following a burglary at a Malvern home yesterday (Friday, March 18).
Police, investigating the incident, have said it happened between 9am and 6pm at Wells Road when the homeowners were at work. Access was gained via a locked door at the back of the property.
The residents then returned home to find a large number of their valuables were stolen, many of which held significant sentimental value.
Among the items stolen was an early 20th Century, 18ct, art deco style, diamond and emerald cluster ring, centrally set with a cut diamond.
Other items taken include a 32″ Sony smart television, Apple Mac Air and charger, Dyson DC56 hand held vacuum & charger, a Gold bracelet, Collection of gold bangles, a Rose gold solid bracelet with clasp (pink/red in colour and dented), 2 silver expandable childs christening bracelets, Ladies Gucci watch with round face and gold bracelet, 9CT gold thin chain necklace with a cross, Mens watch described as a Longines dress watch with round gold face and brown or black leather strap. The watch had words engraved “PRESENTED TO A.BROOKS, 25 YEARS SERVICE GCE SENSORS.”
A gold chunky chain bracelet and a sapphire and diamond tie pin were also stolen.
Police have appealed to the public to come forward with information.
PC Laura Constable said: “Many of the stolen items are distinctive, particularly the art deco ring, and it is hoped that by releasing this information we can ensure the public will be on the lookout for them if the burglar or burglars attempt to sell them on.”
“I’d also urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of Wells Road on Friday 18th March to come forward as their information may be vital to tracing the offenders in this case”.
