FRIENDS of a heartbroken Malvern family whose English Springer Spaniel dog has been missing since Christmas Day have created a tear-jerking video in a bid for him to return home.

The YouTube video, which is titled ‘I’m Coming Home’, is an emotional two-and-a-half minute clip which has been made to show ‘Max’ talking to viewers in a bid to return to his owner Amanda Lambert from Malvern Link.

Earlier this year, the Observer reported how Max was having a sleepover at Mrs Lambert’s relatives house in Bromyard on Christmas Eve before going missing the next morning.

Max was playing outside but relatives soon realised that five out of seven dogs in the garden had suddenly disappeared including Max.

Four of the dogs returned one-by-one after a call out but Max was nowhere to be seen.

Since then, a national appeal has been launched called ‘Lets Get Max Home’ to try and return Max to his heartbroken owners. The family has offered a £500 reward for anyone who finds him.

The video, which was published last month and has had more than 2,000 views, begins with the words: “This is me and my name is Max” and includes several home footage clips of him enjoying time with his family before his disappearance more than three months ago.

It was created and edited by Mrs Lambert’s friend Amanda Paris.

An acoustic version of Rita Ora’s recent smash hit “Coming Home” is played in the background.

The video also includes words stating “I’m ready to come home now”, “I miss playing ball with mom” and “Please don’t give up on me now”.

Mrs Lambert told the Observer: “Sometimes lots of pictures in a video has more of an impact and makes more people emotional towards it.

“Having a video is a lot better than saying the dog is still missing every week.

“It was quite hard for me to watch when it was finished.

“Our search for Max continues and we have got three leads we need to follow up over the weekend.”

Celebrities have shown their support for Amanda’s family including mega-star Liz Hurley who recently re-tweeted Max’s appeal poster. It has also been shared by Malvern born and raised pop star Cher Lloyd who more than five years ago finished fourth in The X Factor.
