MALVERN Town climbed to fourth in the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division after they beat local rivals Bromyard Town despite being down to ten men for most of the match.

Two goals each from Luke Corbett and Benny Hayes and a Brycee Caven strike helped The Hillsiders to a 5-2 win – their fifth league win on the trot – earlier today (Saturday) at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.

The home side however had Dene Whittal-Williams sent off in the first half for two yellow card offences. The half 45 minutes saw Bromyard pull level from  2-0 down before Malvern ran riot in the second half.

Malvern managed to climb into the top four of the league after Cradley Town, who occupied fourth spot before today’s matches, suffered a 7-0 loss to league leaders Shawbury United.

Full report of Malvern’s latest success will appear on http://malvernobserver.co.uk/ on Monday.
