A MALVERN beauty salon is holding a fund-raising day later this month for a charity close to the team’s hearts.
Staff at Belle Beauty will be opening on Monday, May 23 solely to raise money for Malvern Special Families, a charity which provides safe, stimulating, fun and sociable activities for children and young people with disabilities.
The salon, located in PF2 gym on Malvern Retail Park, will donate all the takings made during the opening hours of 10am until 5pm to the charity.
The team decided to support Malvern Special Families as the charity have worked with the brother of therapist, Debbie Alban.
Malvern Special Families also helps parents and guardians by giving them a short break from their caring duties.
Lucy Crouch, owner of Belle Beauty, said: “We have chosen this charity as our therapist Debbie has used this club personally for her Brother Tim, so we are hoping to be able to give something back.”
Miss Alban added: “Malvern Special Families is a very worthy charity that has been a huge help to my family and others in Malvern.
“My brother Tim has Down Syndrome, and he thoroughly enjoyed going along to the group. He especially looked forward to the youth group where he made lots of new friends.
“They really do provide amazing activities with excellent care as well as a much needed break for the family and carers.”
All money taken at the salon on the day will be donated to the charity, and any money raised will be matched by Base Point Business Centres.
There will also be a raffle drawn on the day with tickets available from Belle Beauty for £1 a ticket or £5 for a book.
Prizes include an ultimate pamper package, a signed Worcester Warriors ball, a Guinot Gift set, a personal training session from PF2 Health Clubs, a cut and blow dry from salon 104, a blow dry from Tres Chic hair salon, a Swedish massage from TML Fitness, a tea party for six from strawberry fayre, champagne and many more.
