LABOUR Party’s Lynne Lambeth has been elected as a new councillor of Malvern Town Council.
Mrs Lambeth will now serve as a town councillor for the Pickersleigh ward after winning the by-election with 45 per cent of the vote.
Winning with a total of 202 votes, Mrs Lambeth narrowly beat Pickersleigh resident Alexander Stewart Cleary who received 185 votes and Independent candidate Darren Zolman who collected 65 votes.
Turnout was 10 per cent from the electorate area.
A by-election was called following the resignation of councillor David Houghton-Smith.
