A BLUE leather purse was stolen from a Malvern church.

The theft took place between 11.45am and 12.45pm on Friday (July 29) at the United Reform Church at Worcester Road.

Police say the purse and its contents were left on a trolley at the end of the church near to the vestry area when it was taken.

A suspicious male had been seen in the church earlier in the day and came from the rear of the church and was asking strange questions.

The male had a tattoo on his neck but no theft was witnessed, only suspicious activity.

Anyone with information should call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 0618S 290716.
