KIND-HEARTED staff at a Malvern sports centre have raised more than £1,400 for charity after completing a ten month fund-raising campaign.
MSJ Sports and Fitness Centre, on Barnard’s Green Road, recently raised £1,425 for the Alzheimer’s Society through gym challenges, cake sales, Santa circuit runs and a bonfire night celebration.
Fiona Zelley, sports centre instructor at MSJ Sports and Fitness Centre said: “It’s all part of our MSJ ethos of getting involved with campaigns which affect people in our local community. Our thanks go to everyone who contributed.”
Carmel Callaghan, a Dementia Friend Champion and member of the gym added: “Over the last year the staff have made a huge contribution towards creating a more dementia friendly community in Malvern.
“They have hosted and attended our Dementia Friend information sessions, which help to raise awareness of the disease and encourage individuals to take action.”
