FANCY A PINT? Malvern hotel creates new 'beer' for dogs

MALVERN mutts can now get their paws around a pint thanks to a new brew which has been created by a dog-friendly hotel.

Tails are wagging with joy at Colwall Park Hotel, on Walwyn Road, following the hotel’s unique creation of its new ‘beer’ called ‘Hair of the Dog’ – which is specifically targeted for dogs and made from a light meat stock.

The hotel’s chef makes it using stock reserved from the first stage of production in its Rosette kitchen.

And the dogs are loving it with trial pints given an enthusiastic paws up.

It is thought the hotel is the first in the UK to create a dog beer. It also has its own Mutt’s Membership loyalty scheme.

Laura Delaney, the hotel’s general manager said: “The beer has gone down really well so far.

“Having watched guests frequently relax with a pint in the garden after a walk, we thought why can’t dogs have a pint to enjoy as well.”
