TWO MEN have been arrested on the suspicion of attempted murder after two men were threatened with a baseball bat and shot at with a gun.
The incident happened at the junction of Pickersleigh Road and Pickersleigh Avenue at about 7.10pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Two men in their 20s were approached by three men – believed to be known to the police – before being threatened with what is reported to be a baseball bat and gun, which was fired.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The three men, who were all wear black clothing and had their faces covered, escaped in a black Renault Clio.
A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old man from Malvern have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in police custody.
Also, a 25-year-old man from Malvern has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is currently in police custody.
Inspector John Cashion said: “I can understand that news of this incident will be alarming to the local community.
“However, I would like to reassure people that there was no direct threat to the wider public and we believe this was an isolated incident.
“We would like to speak to anyone who may have been within the area at the time, and may have witnessed any suspicious activity to come forward.”
