POLICE patrols were stepped up at Malvern Shopping Park last night (Monday) following reports fireworks were being thrown at cars.
Malvern police officers received reports at 9pm fireworks were being let off near the McDonalds restaurant then received a further call claiming they were being thrown at .
But when police arrived at the scene they found no cars or fireworks. Nobody was believed to be injured or arrested.
Police officer Steven Freeman said: “On arrival there were no cars (with occupants) by McDonalds and a group of youths stated that they had been there for 30 minutes and had not seen or heard any fireworks.
“With both our informants being anonymous it was impossible to establish any more detail. We retained a presence on the Retail Park for 30 minutes.”
