A REVIEW is underway looking at the quality of public toilet provision in the Malvern Hills area.
Malvern Hills District Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee has asked for Malvern Town Council’s views on the range of public toilets in the district including Malvern, Upton and Tenbury.
Currently Malvern Town Council owns the public toilets at Victoria Park and a project is underway considering the redevelopment of the pavilion which includes the improvement of its toilet facilities.
Malvern Hills District Council is responsible for four toilets in the Malvern area at Edith Walk, Grange Road, Worceter Road and Barnards Green.
In a letter to town clerk Linda Blake the committee requested the town council’s response to a number of key questions.
These include the current locations of public toilets and whether they should be installed elsewhere, whether Malvern Town Council plans to expand their provision and whether exisiting conveniences should be upgraded.
Malvern Town Council had until Friday, November 25 to respond.
