A MAN was charged by police after he attempted to steal items from Malvern’s Morrisons store at the town’s Retail Park.
The incident happened on Friday (December 2) between 5pm and 5.10pm at the store on Roman Way.
Clive Gibson picked up four bottles of spirits from the drinks aisle and a joint of meat from a refrigerated cabinet and attempted to leave the store without offering payment.
He was then detained by store security before being charged. All goods were recovered.
Mr Gibson 39, of Castle Street, Evesham was charged with theft from a shop and bailed to appear Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 29.
