A POSSIBLE ‘Nottingham Knocker’ has been reportedly sighted in Hanley Swan.
At about 6.45pm yesterday (Tuesday), a male was seen going door-to-door selling items from a shoulder bag in Roberts End.
The male is described as medium height, stocky and unshaven.
Police have advised residents to check anyone engaged in door-to-door sales is carrying proper identity and has a valid pedlars licence.
Residents have also been urged to not purchase any items they do not need or appear to be of poor value.
If anybody is suspicious about a caller, call the police on 101.
