Old Wyche Road in Malvern is second steepest in England

MALVERN’s Old Wyche Road has been given the accolade of the second steepest residential road in England by the BBC.

The road rises at an angle of 17.54 degrees according to the broadcaster and is only just behind Vale Street, which is almost 22 degrees, in the Tottertown district of Bristol.

Sheffield’s Blake Street (16.6 degrees) came in a close third, Steep Hill in Lincoln (16.12 degrees) cam fourth and fifth was Gold Hill (16.09 degrees) in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
