THREE Malvern charities are set to benefit from a generous new Co-Op fundraising scheme which has raised more than £12,000 for good causes.
A combined total of £12,868 has been raised for the three charities, thanks to a brand new Co-Op Membership card scheme at the Worcester Road store.
The largest portion of the money, £4,263, has gone to Malvern Special Families which provides clubs and play schemes for children and young people with disabilities.
Cassie Zoro, community fund-raiser for Malvern Special Families, said: “We are delighted that the Co-Op Scheme has raised £4,263 for Malvern Special Families.
“We are so grateful to all the Co-Op members that have chosen to fundraise for Malvern Special Families in this way.
“Community Fundraising forms a vital part of our small charity’s income and new schemes like this are a brilliant way to help support local charities.
“This is such an incredible amount of money which will make a huge positive difference to the lives of local families’ whose children and young people attend our clubs, so thank you to all of the Co-Op members, customers and staff for making this happen.”
Community Action Malvern and District Families and What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful also benefited from the scheme.
